2013 Fontanafredda Barolo (Nebbiolo)
TASTING NOTES:
View: garnet red soft.
Nose: slightly resinous scent of wood, rosemary and pine needles with a hint of licorice.
Mouth: Fresh and fruity with hints of spice and Granada.

VINES: The Fontanafredda farm extends for about 250 hectares in Langa. In these extended mature grape vineyards Barolo used to produce this fantastic 2013 Fontanafredda Barolo. It is the soil characterizes this variety. The western part is characterized by a floor consisting mainly of clay and magnesium, which makes the finest grapes, soft connotations. The part of this, however, is distinguished by its calcareous soil, mineral, grapes giving a deeper structure.
GRAPES: 100% Nebbiolo.
AGEING: 2 years in barrels of French and Slovenian oak.
